CRUSADE! - Write Letters! |
Last Update on August 28 '99 |
- Letter
to the Sci-Fi Channel:
Write a letter to the Sci-Fi Channel.
The Sci-Fi Channel is the most likely new home for "Crusade". They have expressed an interest in the show. Let them know you have seen "Crusade" and that you liked it and want to see more. Ask them to pick up "Crusade" for its second season. The Sci-Fi Channel is waiting to see the response to all 13 episodes before making a decision. If you like "Crusade", write to them and let them know.
Here
is an example of another 'form' letter - this time more appropriate
to the Sci-Fi channel. Again, if you do not have the time to
write your own letter, then simply print this, sign it and post
it away.
The address to write to the Sci-Fi Channel is:
Ms. Bonnie Hammer,
Senior Vice President of Programming,
Sci-Fi Channel,
1230 Avenue of The Americas,
New York, NY 10020-1513
United States
AND / OR:

- Letter
to Warner Bros:
Write to Warner Bros encouraging
them to continue production of the first season. Let
Warner Brothers, who owns "Crusade", know that you appreciate
the support they have shown for the show thus far. Tell them
you want them to continue trying to find "Crusade" a new home.

AND / OR:

Letter
to TNT:
Write to TNT encouraging them to
continue production of the first season. We need them
to pick up the remaining 9 episodes of the first season. TNT
will not produce a second season of the show, but they might
well be encouraged to finish what they have started already.
That then opens the door for another station to pick the second
series up.
Here
is an example 'form' letter. If you do not have the time to
write your own letter, then simply print this, sign it and post
it away. Although having a thousand letters all turn up the
same will not be ideal it's better than not having them :)
The address to
write to TNT is:
Programming Director,
TNT,
1050 Techwood Drive,
Atlanta, GA 30318
United States
AND / OR:
R. E. Ted Turner, Vice-chairman
Time Warner, Incorporated
75 Rockefeller Plaza

Letter Writing Tips:
- Letter Writing Tips from Tim & Heather:
1.) Be polite (hate mail goes into the garbage unread).
2.) Keep the letter short. No more than one page.
3.) If possible write a handwritten letter in blue ink.
4.) Mention what you like about Crusade. Mention if you like the characters or a particular character. Since the actors contracts need to be renegotiated, let the networks know which actors you really like, so that they will try hard to resign them. Note what episodes you liked and why.
5.) Mention that you enjoyed the introductory movie, "A Call to Arms"
6.) Were you looking forward to JPL (Jet Propulsion Lab) involvement in the show and the kind of scientific accuracy that would bring? if so, then tell them.
7.) Tell them that you want well written imaginative shows that "Crusade" (given B5's track record) would bring.
8.) Tell them that you were looking forward to the long story, to find out how the Earth is cured from the plague (I hesitate to use the phrase 5 year arc because they think our attention spans don't last 5 seconds).
9.) Your age and occupation may be good. Let them know something about you. Perhaps your purchasing power.
