Wednesday, September 21, 2005, ABC Television Network is pleased to announce the premiere of “Invasion”; from Shaun Cassidy Productions
in association with Warner Bros. Television Production.
For centuries, humans have searched the skies for signs of intelligent life...to no avail. But what if the explanation lies in the fact that aliens
were already here...already among us? And what if all of the natural disasters we have been experiencing of late were smokescreens designed
to mask something far more ominous? From Shaun Cassidy Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television Production Inc. comes
"Invasion," starring William Fichtner ("The Longest Yard," "Black Hawk Down," "Pearl Harbor," "The Perfect Storm"), Eddie Cibrian ("Third
Watch," "Sunset Beach"), Lisa Sheridan ("FreakyLinks"), Kari Matchett ("Angel Eyes," "A Nero Wolfe Mystery"), Tyler Labine ("That Was Then,"
"My Boss's Daughter"), Evan Peters ("The Days"), Ariel Gade ("Envy"), Alexis Dziena ("Strangers with Candy" movie, "Wonderland" movie) and
Aisha Hinds ("Assault on Precinct 13" [2005], "The Shield"). "Invasion" airs Wednesdays (10:00 - 11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on the ABC Television
Network.
Dedicated U.S. Park Ranger Russell Varon (Cibrian) is a divorced father of two kids--Jesse (Peters) and Rose (Gade)--and is expecting a third
child with his new wife, local television reporter Larkin Groves (Sheridan). For Russell, who works with fellow Ranger Mona Gomez (Hinds),
a devastating hurricane and its mysterious aftermath prove to be merely the beginning of a long journey into the unknown. Always skeptical
about the paranoid conspiracy theories of his wayward brother-in-law, Dave (Labine), Russell may have to revise his thinking when a number of
bizarre occurrences start taking place in his community. Although Rose claims to have seen hundreds of lights floating towards the water
during the storm, Russell initially dismisses her claim--until he begins to suspect that something is very wrong with his ex-wife, Dr. Mariel
Underlay (Matchett). The morning after the storm, Mariel is found naked in the water -- with no memory of what transpired the night before.
As the tiny Everglades town of Homestead, Florida, struggles to rebuild itself, Sheriff Tom Underlay (Fichtner)--who is now married to Mariel
and raising his daughter, Kira (Dziena)--suspiciously orders the entire area quarantined. Russell begins to investigate the strange goings on
and unwittingly begins a fight for the survival of his family, his community, and what might ultimately be the human race.
"Invasion" creator and executive producer Shaun Cassidy ("Cold Case," "The Mountain," "The Agency," "American Gothic," "Cover Me") presents
the suspenseful tale of a blended family that finds itself at the center of a conspiracy designed to mask an alien takeover happening one
neighbor at a time.
