Hi there,
I have just looked over the pen pals page on the site and I seem to see
people on it from the USA or UK. Well..... here is one from way down in
Africa! Zimbabwe to be precise. My story is much the same as many others.
Saw the pilot (The gathering) in 1995 (We are always way behind down here),
caught a couple of episodes in 2000 and was hooked. I now own the whole
series including the movies on VHS and they get watched over and over and
over....well, you get the point. There is a small and fanatical following in
this part of the world for B5 so whoever you are out there, drop me a line
and lets discuss the deeper issues relating to the plots on B5. I personally
am crazed over the Vorlons.
Here's me signing off from very sunny Southern Africa (you should see the
Victoria Falls now!)

off your head and stick it on a pike, as a reminder to the next ten

Please add my name and E-address to the PenPals list.
Hi my name is Kira and I'm looking for B5-fans/e-mail pals in The Netherlands or in Great Britain. I'm also a big
Star Trek (esp.DS-9) fan. And I love SF-series such as Stargate SG1 and Earth-FC. Reading is one of my hobby's, so
my interest include novells and comics of SF-series. Wich of course led to a side-adiction of JMS- Rising Stars.

From the foothills of North Carolina, I say, "Howdy, y'all!"
My name is John T. Hill, and I am from the great metropolis of Forest City, population 8,000 (that's your cue
to lol, by the way). I have been a fan of B5 since I caught the pilot while at the 1993 Phi Theta Kappa
Carolinas regional convention in Myrtle Beach, S. C. I happened to return to my room after a rather raucous
party to take a break, turning on the tube while getting ready for some more fun downstairs. I only caught
about twenty minutes of it before my fellow Sigma Chi chapter members came up to see what happened to me.
Later on, when I got back home, I caught the pilot and I was hooked. Ever since then, I have been a big B5
fan.
My other interests include: Starblazers (an anime cartoon that aired in the US from 1979-81), sci-fi, alternate
history, football, baseball, basketball, history, politics, surfing the web, writing fanfic, and pro wrestling
(go figure!).
I hope to attend Appalachian State University (Go Mountaineers!) in the fall of 2001, where I hope to revive
my "View From The Hill" column (I was the editor of Isothermal C. C.'s student newspaper 1994), and get an
air shift on the student radio station. I plan to major in History, Secondary Education, and hope to
eventually be a college professor.
I look forward from hearing from all of you!

Is there anyone out there across the pond who would like to share views/ideas on B5 with an English fan of
the show ?
I've watched it since the first episode and still, given the fact that B5 is pretty dead over here now,
remain quite worryingly obsesssed with it all......(this is you understand, just not British). My friends
glaze over if I mention the show, and my husband considers me seriously sad....my son is too busy swopping
Pokemon cards to care. Is there anyone out there???????

Hi all,
Just looking for some fans to correspond with. I love B5 and Crusade,
but I must live in some cultural void, no one here (newly NJ) has any
idea what I'm talking about. Talking on the phone with my mom (the only
other person I know who I ever convinced to watch B5) is just WAY
boring! We can only re-hash how many ways Londo sold his soul to every
devil by bombarding the Narn homeworld so many times. And,
unfortunately, the finace is not so much of a sci-fi fan. She likes to
read it, but it's not so important to her. HELP! Need to discuss!

Re: B5 and all the other really important things in life
Hello fellow fans! I'm crawling out from my Down Below closet. Yes, I
confess, for quite some time now I've been one of "them," those people you
know are hiding out down there but never seem to connect with what's really
going on; that's right I am (gasp!) a lurker.
I only came to B5 a little over a year ago really. I had seen bits and
pieces of an episode or two over the years, but it was always the same bits
out of the same couple of episodes and they made no sense. Besides, I've
been a Trekker since I was seven; any other sci-fi/fantasy in my life had to
be in print (Heinlein, Bova, Clarke, Tolkien, Card, Lackey, Kurtz, Anthony,
Bradbury, Eddings, well that's enough). However, one day IT happened. I
came home early from work and started flipping channels. I settled at TNT
and the last 15-20 of what I now know is "The Summoning." From "Well, I'll
be damned," to "Will you stand together?" to "I'll never leave you," I was
intrigued. Two episodes later my VCR and I were completely and irrevocably
hooked. This series has almost everything, even stuff it doesn't intend
because of what I read into it from my own literary background. I have been
a lurker because no one around me except for my 8-year old son shares this
obsession. I now understand what it might have been like for those hardy
souls in the late '60's and early '70's who fought to keep Trek alive.
There's my brief B5 testimony. As for the other important things in life. .
. I am a Christian born, raised, signed, sealed, and waiting to be
delivered. I am a single parent of one. I think the Boy Scouts are just
about the best organization this country has to offer. I can't stand people
who just talk about the problems facing our society but never walk into
their child's classroom, pick up trash in the park, or otherwise use their
time and talents to combat (dare I say prevent?) said problems.
And there's my soap box. I shall be most interested to see what fruit this
might bear.

Hi! I'd love to have a B5 penpal!!! I am not a serious Sci-Fi enthusiast.
I guess I'm more into Sci-Fantasy. I love B5, Star Wars, Battlestar
Galactica, etc... I'm in it for the stories though, not for the science
value.
Specifically related to B5, I love Michael Garibaldi; not to the point that
I'd leave my husband for him, but I'd consider it briefly. I also have a
lot of admiration for Susan Ivonova and Commander Lockley. I have no desire
to be as "liberated" as they are, but again, it's nice to consider every
once in a while.
As for the other aspects of my life' I'm 40, mother of one, wife of only one
(ever), overweight, and one of those Born-Again, Evangelical Christians who
get so much bad press. I don't consider myself a "radical", just convinced
that what I believe is right for me. I'm an unemployed school counselor who
is substitute teaching at this point. We have one dog, no other pets, and
kill houseplants just by looking at them. Oh yes, I'm an EverQuest "widow"
who will be learning how to play it as soon as our new computer system
arrives.
If anyone wants to correspond after all that, my e-mail is
mrsd@directlink.net.
Thanks,
Jan

Hi,
I am looking for a Pen Pal and maybe a trading pal. By trading pal
someone who can help me get stuff I cannot get up in Canada and in turn
I will either trade, reimburse or exchange the itemfor something that
cannot or is hard to get in their home country. As for pen pal we
do not have to just talk B5 or Crusade we can discuss X Filrs, any
of the Star Treks or anything other topice we agree to discuss. If any
of the above interests you please either e-mail me at cf603@torfree.net. or
snail me at:
Particular interests - (and not necessarily because I know a lot) the ethos
behind the Technomage cult and, Minbari religious beliefs and how they fit in
with current thinking (or any thinking really) on alternative religions - you
know paganism etc. This doesn't have to be that heavy, honestly. For instance,
where did Joe get his ideas from?? - were they all made up or were any of them
sourced from existing beliefs or even other sci-fi writers.
HI!
Can you add my name to the list?My names Angie and I live in the Uk-I'd
love to hear from any Crusade/B5 fans and would love to have a trading
partner!
Hey fellow B5ers. I am a massive B5 fan looking for some of the same to
discuss B5/Crusade episodes with. When i say i'm a massive B5 fan, i
mean it. I divorced my wife because she asked me to chose between her
and B5. I couldn't have chose a better companion. I would also love to
hear from Female B5 fans. I love to her a woman's take on this beloved
sci fi epic.
Hi ! I would like to be added to the pen pal list
My name is Chantal and I live in Switzerland were you don't
get B5 on TV. I have to buy the VHS so I HAVEN'T SEEN THE
END yet.
I would like to have e-mail pals. I especially like G'Kar

interrested in tradings.

books.
I would love to discuss the philosophical,

Deep Space Nine, Earth: Final Conflict, and The
